Daniele de Rossi appears set for a period on the sidelines after Roma confirmed the results of a scan on the injury he picked up against Cagliari.

Roma's official website revealed he has a calf problem:

Roma maintained their unbeaten start to the Serie A season with a win over Cagliari on Sunday, but news of Daniel de Rossi's injury concern adds a more dour twist to the result. 

The Italian captain was replaced by debutant Urby Emanuelson as the Giallorossi earned their third straight win of the campaign, as confirmed by Football Italia:

Rudi Garcia will hope that his midfield anchor isn't out for long, especially with Kevin Strootman still striving to make his return to full fitness, adding further concern in the centre of the park.
