The "new" Manchester United debuted in style against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, blowing the visitors out of the water on their way to an emphatic 4-0 win, their first of the 2014-15 Premier League season.

Angel Di Maria stole the show, opening the score with a free-kick that sailed over everyone and into the back of the net, but a multitude of Red Devils put together standout performances at Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera doubled United's lead with 10 minutes left to play in the first half, after a brilliant solo run from Di Maria found Wayne Rooney near the edge of the box. The captain kept his cool, lofting the ball to the Spanish midfielder, who blasted it home.

Finally, The Sport Bible's Liam couldn't hide his excitement at what the future holds for the team, particularly given the amount of attacking depth United currently boast:

The Red Devils will play another Premier League newcomer next, but Leicester City aren't QPR. The Foxes have enjoyed an excellent start to the 2014-15 season and won't make things easy on this United squad, who have really only played 90 minutes of good football this season.

The dominant win over the West Londoners was beyond impressive, however, and if this is what fans should expect from Louis van Gaal's United, the Premier League better beware.
