Ecuador battled back to keep their Round of 16 hopes alive with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ecuador. It was Ecuador's first win in a competitive match outside of Ecuador since 2009.
Ecuador are now level Switzerland with three points in Group E, and with a better goal differential.

Enner Valencia hit an equaliser moments later, getting on the end of a long, low pass through the Honduran defence:
