Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool: Simulating Crucial Premier League Tie on 'FIFA 14'

Nick AkermanMay 5, 2014

Liverpool need to provide a quick response. Manchester City took three points off Everton. Chelsea got a point against Norwich. The Reds now find themselves in second place and need a massive win to pile the pressure on the leaders with Chelsea not far behind them in third.

Goal difference is likely to be crucial as we head toward the season's conclusion, but can Brendan Rodgers' side claim their first title in the Premier League era? We fired a copy of FIFA 14 up on Xbox One to determine whether they will remain in the race for silverware.

Tony Pulis' Crystal Palace have impressed massively since the former Stoke boss grabbed hold of the reins. Relegation has barely been a threat, suggesting Liverpool have a tough test ahead of them.

Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool: FIFA 14 Highlights

Raheem Sterling's opening strike took the sting out of a confident Palace side, while Steven Gerrard's second-half finish was a smart way of lifting the pressure. Although this wasn't the cut-and-thrust Liverpool we've watched all season, Rodgers' men progressed with another vital victory in the bag.

Can the Reds replicate their Selhurst Park success in real life? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
