Aaron Lennon, Roberto Soldado Rubbish Claims That Tim Sherwood Hit a Player
After Tottenham were thrashed at Anfield 4-0 on Sunday, rumours ran rampant on Twitter that embattled and fiery manager Tim Sherwood had punched one of his players:
"Rumours that Tottenham have sacked Tim Sherwood and there were fights in the Spurs dressing room after the Liverpool game.

"So, Tim Sherwood has punched Vertonghen? WOW, I'm surprised he found the dressing room after being trapped in the stands for 90 mins!
— Matt Lauder (@MPL_79) March 30, 2014"
While there were no credible sources to report the incident, Tottenham's Aaron Lennon rushed to rubbish the claims on the very site that helped perpetuate the story:
"Today was not good enough and we let everyone down, but the rumours about the boss hitting someone are bollocks, crazy how powerful twitter is
— Aaron Lennon (@Aaron7Lennon) March 30, 2014"
Additionally, Roberto Soldado took to Instagram in order to silence the story:

While there wasn't much behind the story, it still didn't stop the Internet from having some fun with the bizarre rumour:
"Apparently Tim Sherwood punched Soldado. Soldado went to punch him back but missed.
