EPL Week 29 Fixtures: Full Schedule, Live Stream Info and Predictions

Dan BrettMar 3, 2014

Going into the latest round of Premier League fixtures, it is up to Tottenham Hotspur to keep up their pursuit of Champions League football in the game of the weekend.

To do that, they will have to do what no Premier League side has managed this season and win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.ย ย ย

At the bottom of the table, there's also the small matter of a relegation six-pointer as Cardiff host Fulham, who sit 19th and 20th respectively. A win for either side will boost their own survival ambitions, while almost certainly confining the other to relegation.

Crystal Palace vs. Southampton

SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND - MARCH 01: Luke Shaw of Southampton controls the ball ahead of Jordan Henderson of Liverpool during the Barclays Premier League match between Southampton and Liverpool at St Mary's Stadium on March 1, 2014 in Southampton, England.

Mauricio Pochettino and Southampton's England stars will be looking to bounce back from the 3-0 home defeat by Liverpool last time out. Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Jay Rodriguez all have ambitions of going to the World Cup, so they need to maintain form between now and the end of the season.

However, they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, knowing the South Coast side will be battling fiercely toward achieving a second successive Premier League season.

Palace will look to make home advantage count, and they are boosted by the fact Glenn Murray is back among the goals:

The striker bagged his first goal for the Eagles in their win at Swansea, and he will be confident of finding the net again as he lifts his side further away from the drop zone.

Southampton still have an outside chance of reaching the Europa Leagueโ€”now possible for qualification via a sixth-placed finish, thanks to Manchester City's Capital One Cup win.

Shaw and Lallana are in good form and both were unlucky to finish on the losing side against Liverpool, but they won't get an easy afternoon against Tony Pulis' side, who have recorded six of their eight league victories at home this season.

Lambert needs an injection of form after failing to net or assist in his last four games, but he will likely beย frustrated once again against Pulis' organised outfit, who get a fantastic backing on home soil.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Southampton.

Cardiff vs. Fulham

LONDON, ENGLAND - JANUARY 01: Molde manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (2L) and Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan (L) look on from the stands prior to the Barclays Premier League match between Arsenal and Cardiff City at Emirates Stadium on January 1, 2014 in Lon

Sitting four points adrift of safety at the foot of the table, and with a goal difference of minus-34, Fulham have it all to do if they're to secure another season in the Premier League. They travel to Cardiff during Week 29, to play a side that will be looking to return to form after their 1-0 defeat against Spurs.

The Bluebirds haven't won in their last four league appearances, with defeats against Hull and Aston Villa sealing the Welsh outfit's place in the bottom three.

Meanwhile, two draws in their last four have lifted Fulham's chancesโ€”slim as they areโ€”of a Great Escape, after picking up points against Manchester United and West Brom.

Form is imperative in the Premier League, and the pressure currently on Cardiffโ€”in front of their own fansโ€”is the key reason why Fulham will triumph in Wales.

Johnny Heitinga battles with Eden Hazard.

The Cottagers created a host of chances through set-pieces in their 3-1 defeat against Chelsea, with Johnny Heitinga eventually scoring against the Blues.

Set-pieces will be a key area for both sides this weekend, and in a game that is expected to be tight, it is the strikers of either side who will likely make the difference.

Fulham can partner Darren Bent with Kostas Mitroglou if they choose such an avenue. Cardiff don't have anything of equal quality.

Prediction: Cardiff 0-2 Fulham

Chelsea vs. Tottenham

The man of the hour: Emmanuel Adebayor to keep top-four dreams alive.

It will take a mammoth performance of grit, determination and luck for Spurs to pick up a win at Stamford Bridge.

Since Jose Mourinho's return, the club have reigned supreme at home, with form that has led his side to top spot in the Premier League.

Tottenham's top-four ambitions are still prominent, and a win at their London rivals would put pressure on the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal as they look for a return to Champions League football.

That's just what they'll get.

Mourinho to see his Stamford Bridge run ended by Spurs.

Emmanuel Adebayor has been in fine form since his return to the side under Tim Sherwood, scoring three goals in his last four league appearances and setting up Roberto Soldado's strike against Cardiff.

The striking pair's partnership flourished in the win against the Bluebirds, with Adebayor tweeting:

The Togolese international will look to continue his fine form at Stamford Bridge, and in fine goal form of late, he is likely to find himself on the end of plenty of goal-scoring opportunities.

Anticipated to become a frantic match in the evening kick-off, both sides will have to keep their frustrations in check as tempers are likely to flare in London.

It'll be up to both sides to ensure that they do not pick up any silly, unnecessary bookings either, as any dismissal could shape the match and, potentially, either side's season.

Per WhoScored.com, Chelsea allowed Galatasaray four shots on target, and Fulham three shots on target last time out.

It's this inability to reduce their opponents' chances on goal that will see them undone, and for Adebayor, that may provide the very route to goal needed to extend his own goal tally.
