Chelsea vs. Manchester United: Best Pictures from Stamford Bridge
Chelsea hosted Manchester United on Sunday, as Jose Mourinho's team looked to make a title statement against David Moyes' visitors.
United started brightly, with Ashley Young denied by Petr Cech early on.

The midfield contest was a fierce one.

Chelsea gradually asserted themselves, and went ahead through Samuel Eto'o's deflected shot after 17 minutes.

United's Danny Welbeck had a chance to equalise, but he couldn't beat Cech from close range. Here's Mourinho directing his troops.

Eto'o doubled Chelsea's lead on the stroke of halftime.

The veteran striker completed his hat-trick with a tap-in, early in the second half, to make it 3-0 to Chelsea.

United responded with a goal from substitute Javier Hernandez, but there would be no miracle comeback.

United's miserable afternoon was complete with the sending off of Nemanja Vidic late on.

Chelsea were left to celebrate another impressive victory.
