Little League Coach Is Suing His Player for More Than $500,000

A California Little League coach is suing one of his own players for unintentionally hitting him in the Achilles tendon with a helmet following a walk-off hit, according to Mike TeSelle of Sacramento's KCRA 3.

Alan Beck, the coach of the Lakeside Little League team in Roseville, claims his Achilles tendon was torn after being struck by a helmet the 14-year-old threw in the air in celebration as he headed home. Beck wants more than $500,000 for his pain and another $100,000 for lost wages and medical bills.

The player's father, Joe Paris, called the lawsuit "absurd," and legal experts believe the case will have no grounds in court.
