EPL Week 16 Fixtures: TV Info and Predictions for Premier League Action
Even when they’re not atop the Premier League table, Manchester United dominate the headlines.
The Red Devils are coming off two losses at Old Trafford last week to Everton and Newcastle United—their first back-to-back home defeats since the 2001-02 season.
Can they regain their form and confidence when they travel to Villa Park and take on Aston Villa? That is one of the many questions that will be answered in Week 16 of the EPL season.

Key Games
Manchester City vs. Arsenal
This is clearly the most enticing matchup of the weekend, as two of the league’s best teams go head to head.
Arsenal are five points clear at the top of the table, but they’ll face one of their biggest tests of the season at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City have been unstoppable at home, winning all seven of their home games with a goal differential of plus-27.
City have scored 29 goals in those seven matches, which works out to an average of more than four goals per game.
The Gunners have been no slouch on the road, but this will be a difficult challenge for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Prediction: Manchester City 2, Arsenal 1
Newcastle vs. Southampton
Two of the more surprising teams of this EPL year face off when Southampton go to St. James’ Park to play Newcastle United.
Newcastle are seventh in the table, with Southampton right on their tails trailing by three points.
How will the teams stand after Saturday’s contest?
The Magpies are the hottest team in the league right now, winning five of their last six games, but they face a Southampton defense that has given up the second-fewest goals in the league (14 goals allowed).
Looking closer at the schedule, however, reveals that Southampton have allowed 11 goals in their last six matches. Considering the form of Loic Remy and Yoan Gouffran (12 combined goals), Newcastle will be able to score at home.
Southampton haven’t registered an away victory since September, and that drought will continue against the Toon Army.
Prediction: Newcastle United 2, Southampton 0
Aston Villa vs. Manchester United
After a midweek UEFA Champions League win, United manager David Moyes is hoping that his side can get out of their EPL rut.
The Red Devils have to go on the road to get it done, but they've won 32 of their last 33 games against Aston Villa.
Villa are coming off a disappointing loss to Fulham last week, and they'll have their hands full again in Week 16.
Prediction: Aston Villa 0, Manchester United 2
