FA Cup Third Round Draw: Arsenal Host Tottenham in Pick of the Ties

Alex DimondJun 8, 2018

Arsenal will host Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the pick of the FA Cup third-round ties, after the draw was made on Sunday afternoon at Wembley.

Elsewhere, Manchester United host Swansea City at Old Trafford—while Manchester City and Chelsea have potentially tricky away trips to Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea, respectively.

Liverpool will host Oldham Athletic—who famously beat them 3-2 in the fourth round of last season's competition—if the Latics come through a second-round replay against Mansfield, while the other Latics, holders Wigan Athletic, are at home to MK Dons.

Elsewhere, there was a lack of real glamour ties for the smaller sides in the draw—with Macclesfield at home to Sheffield Wednesday, Kidderminster hosting Peterborough and Grimsby also at home to Huddersfield.

Other than the eagerly anticipated north London derby and the fixture at Old Trafford, there were three further all-Premier League ties; West Brom are at home to Crystal Palace, Newcastle United host Cardiff City and Norwich meet Fulham at Carrow Road.
