Transfer Rumour Rater: Luke Shaw to Chelsea in the January Window

January could finally bring about the St. Mary's exit for Luke Shaw, who's long been tipped for a move to a big Premier League side despite still being just 18 years old.

According to Neil Fissler of the Express, Chelsea are ready to launch a £30 million move for the left-back, which would be the biggest fee ever paid for a teenager in the English top flight.

Shaw has been in fine form under Mauricio Pochettino but penned a five-year extension with Southampton just a few months ago.

An excerpt from the report says:

"The Blues failed with bids for Shaw in the last two transfer windows but are confident that they can do a deal for him next month. Shaw grew up as a Chelsea fan and will be given the chance to fill the boots of Ashley Cole."

If sources are to be trusted, Shaw may now get the chance to join the club he supported as a boy, but would he be worth the fee?
