Timothy RappNov 30, 2013

The next week is pretty huge. With 30 matches total between this weekend and next Monday, we'll learn quite a bit about which teams are for real and should see more clarity in the title race and across the table as a whole.

But that's the future. There's still plenty of action to analyze from this weekend, with a slew of intriguing matchups, surprising results and superstars stepping to the forefront. Let's take a look back at this weekend's results and break down some of the action.

Analysis

Arsenal continued their dominant run of play in the Premier League this season, brushing aside Cardiff City 3-0 behind an Aaron Ramsey brace and the rare Mathieu Flamini score. Mesut Ozil contributed two assists to the effort, while Wojciech Szczesny played well between the pipes.

Here's Ramsey's second goal:

With 31 of a possible 39 points this year, the Gunners have started far stronger than most would have predicted. Despite battling injuries throughout the year and hitting the ground running after a controversial summer transfer period that was only rectified once Ozil was signed, Arsenal have looked the part of a champion thus far.

Everton absolutely crushed Stoke City behind goals from Gerard Deulofeu, Seamus Coleman, Bryan Oviedo and Romelu Lukaku, in a game that, at least temporarily, launched them to fourth on the table.

Here's Coleman scoring the game's second goal:

Newcastle continued their run up the table with a 2-1 win over West Brom, while West Ham also cruised, knocking off struggling Fulham 3-0 behind strikes from Mohamed Diame, Carlton Cole and Joe Cole. Fulham have now conceded an absurd 24 goals on the season, currently the most allowed in the Premier League this year.

Finally, a Gary Hooper goal gave Norwich City a big 1-0 win over cellar-dwelling Crystal Palace. The loss left Palace all alone in last place after Sunderland managed to earn a scoreless draw against Aston Villa, a pretty big result for the club on the road.
