12 of Football's Most Unlikely Celebrity Fans
We all know that sports and show business are synonymous—after all, rapper Drake told us as much on his "Thank Me Now" track.
But while we are all too aware of the teams that some in the spotlight support, there are others who aren't as obvious and some who are just downright surprising.
Thus we got to thinking about some of football's most unlikely celebrity fans and decided to come up with a list of unlikely fans.

Therefore, here's a look at 12 of football's most unexpected celebrity supporters and the clubs that they root for:
The face of WWE (yeah, whatever Randy Orton) was an American football star in college, but the current world heavyweight champion is actually a fan of Spurs.
Indeed, Cena was present in 2008 when the North London club smashed bitter rivals Arsenal 5-1 in a League Cup semi-final.
Decent.
Cameron Diaz: Brentford
The stunning Miss Diaz is one of the world's most glamorous actresses, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise if she supported one of the top, top clubs that the planet has to offer.
But instead, she's a major supporter of League One Brentford.
The club's former chairman, Dan Tana, who now owns an L.A. restaurant popular among the glitterati, once told the Daily Mail: "Cameron and Drew (Barrymore) are among the ladies who are regulars here. I like to think they come for the restaurant—but they come just as much to catch up on news about the club."
Next time she's shooting in London, we may have to go and check out Griffin Park.
Pope Benedict XVI: Bayern Munich
Thanks to Pope Benedict XVI's choice of team, the Vatican was all pizza, beer and partying as Die Bayern won the Champions League back in May to secure an unprecedented treble.
At least, that's what we think it was.
Tom Hanks: Aston Villa
The Green Mile and Forrest Gump star is a genuine Hollywood A-lister, as well as a massive fan of Aston Villa.
Hanks watched Villa for the first time in a pre-season friendly against Portland Timbers during the club’s pre-season U.S. tour last year but is yet to make it to Villa Park.
Russell Brand: West Ham United
The legendary lothario and former Mr. Katy Perry has long been a massive supporter of the club from the East End.
Speaking of his former bride, we aren't certain whether she still frequents the claret and blue colours as she once did.
Someone should really ask her.
Hugh Jackman: Norwich City
The Australian actor joins the likes of celebrity chef Delia Smith and Twitter legend Stephen Fry in being a Canaries supporter.
His mother resides in Norfolk and a couple of years ago, he actually turned down the opportunity to invest in the Premier League club—something the Wolverine star actually regrets (as reported by the BBC).
Adriana Lima: Inter Milan
The sultry supermodel may have grown up in Brazil, but rather than supporting one of the Brasileiro's finest, the Victoria's Secret vixen is a massive fan of the Nerazzurri.
As good a reason as any to cheer for Walter Mazzarri's side.
Mike Myers: Liverpool
The Austin Powers star's parents originally came from Merseyside, and as such their son was brought up on a diet of Liverpool at a time when they were the finest side in Europe.
He was recently in attendance as Brendan Rodgers' side trounced Fulham 4-0 at Anfield.
Ridley Scott: Hartlepool United
The 75-year-old director hails from South Shields in the North East, but rather than supporting any of the region's big hitters—most notably Newcastle United or Sunderland—Scott supports League Two side Hartlepool United.
So much for Jeff Stelling's claim of being their biggest fan.
Catherine Zeta-Jones: Swansea City
It should come as little surprise that the Welsh-born Oscar winner is indeed a lifelong Swansea City supporter.
She gave heavy backing to the Swans ahead of the opening of the Liberty Stadium back in 2005.
Shania Twain: Newcastle United
The Canadian songstress happens to be a part of the Toon Army.
The Geordie faithful love nothing more than going shirtless in sub-zero temperatures—Does she?
Will Ferrell: Chelsea
Now we aren't sure how big a fan of the Blues the Anchorman star is, nor how his allegiance began.
What we are sure of though is that Stamford Bridge will be that little brighter should he ever make the journey.
He's actually not too bad playing either.
