Premier League Table 2013 Week 13: Latest Standings, Predictions for Matchday 13
The Premier League wrapped up Matchday 12 with West Brom's draw against Aston Villa on Monday night at the Hawthorns.
Following an international break, the EPL roared back into life this past weekend, the highlight of which was Manchester City's 6-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. It was a great result for City that likely left supporters even more flummoxed as to how this club could lose 1-0 to Sunderland, then respond with that two weeks later.
Some of the other high-profile results included Everton's 3-3 draw with Liverpool, a 2-0 win for Arsenal over Southampton and a 2-2 draw between Manchester United and Cardiff City.

West Ham vs. Fulham
This is a match that could have big consequences in the relegation fight by the end of the season. Yes, it's only Matchday 13, but the difference between 17th and 18th always comes down to one or two points, so nabbing points off another club in the relegation zone is massive.
Both West Ham and Fulham look like they'll be stuck around the relegation zone for most of the season, so it will be important for either club to try and get a win this weekend.
The Cottagers continue to be a mess. That 2-1 loss to Swansea was their fourth in a row in the league and they've now conceded 21 goals, tied for third-worst in the EPL.
Meanwhile, the Hammers have scored nine goals so far, tied for third-worst in the league.
Something's gotta give here.
Considering West Ham's direct style, they could be able to take apart the Fulham back line. The Cottagers always have problems when trying quickly to organise defensively.
With a player such as Ravel Morrison, the Hammers should have enough in the attack to score at least one goal and take all the points.
Prediction: West Ham 1, Fulham 0
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United
Looking at all competitions, Manchester United haven't lost since that 2-1 defeat to West Brom at Old Trafford on Sept. 28. Away from home, they also have the second-best record in the league, tied with Tottenham on 10 points. Of course, the Red Devils lost their two toughest road tests (Liverpool and Manchester City).
Regardless, there's no getting around the fact that United have begun improving under David Moyes.
You'd think Tottenham would have a response after that 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City. It was an embarrassment.
The problem is, where are the goals going to come from? Spurs have scored nine times in 12 matches. You can't go on faith anymore that all of a sudden the dam's going to break and the goals will flow.
A team with Roberto Soldado, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Lewis Holtby and Gylfi Sigurdsson should be doing more in the attack.
Until Spurs do, don't count on them getting the win against what's become a more organised United defence and midfield.
Prediction: Manchester United 2, Tottenham Hotspur 0
Chelsea vs. Southampton
You wonder if this is the point in the season where Southampton get found out a bit. There's a lot of quality on that team, especially in midfield, but the Saints may not be ready for the top four.
They lost 2-0 to Arsenal on Saturday and stay in London to take on Chelsea.
The Blues are coming off a comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham. When Oscar and Frank Lampard are playing as well as they did on Saturday, you don't need to worry about your strikers.
Dejan Lovren should be back for Southampton, which would be a big boost for the defence, one that has still only conceded seven goals all season.
What's better is that the Saints' midfield should be able to handle Oscar, Lampard, Ramires and whomever else Jose Mourinho opts to select this Sunday. Victor Wanyama is excellent when he's not tasked with passing the ball and will be able to break up Chelsea's attacking moves.
Southampton will pull off a surprise and hold out for the draw.
Prediction: Chelsea 0, Southampton 0
