Andre Villas-Boas Ashamed of Embarrassing Tottenham After Manchester City Loss
Andre Villas-Boas has apologised to Tottenham fans for the side's dismal 6-0 loss against Manchester City, claiming the team "will react in these next fixtures."
The Portuguese manager remained powerless as his struggling team were humiliated by Manuel Pellegrini's prolific outfit, his comments coming through the club's official Twitter account:
Spurs' day got off to a terrible start when Hugo Lloris lashed the ball toward City's attack inside 14 seconds, with Jesus Navas eventually punishing the French goalkeeper with a sublime finish from the edge of the box.

Although the visitors racked up plenty of chances in the first half, City were able to remain strong and punished Spurs with another two goals before the break, something Villas-Boas acknowledged in his comments:
The North London side were unable to react positively, and by the game's conclusion, it was simply a matter of how many goals Pellegrini's men were going to tally up.
Sergio Aguero remained at his unplayable best with a brace, while Navas also nabbed two and Alvaro Negredo scored one after seeing Sandro deflect another of his shots into the net.
Spurs have spent approximately £100 million since Gareth Bale left the club, reported by Greg Stobart of Goal.com. The likes of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli are still settling into their new roles at the club, while Roberto Soldado remains fruitless up front.
Jermain Defoe has scored five in four Europa League appearances this campaign, as reported by WhoScored.com, but is continually overlooked for Premier League starts. Villas-Boas appears unwilling to give the Englishman a chance, despite Soldado scoring just one goal from open play this campaign.
The White Hart Lane side are currently eight points away from Arsenal at the top of the domestic division and have lost three of their past six games.
Next up in the Premier League is a home tie against fellow strugglers Manchester United, the perfect opportunity to bounce back and start a run of form.
