Wayne Rooney Hits Out at Martin Tyler and Graeme Souness After Cardiff Kick
Wayne Rooney has criticised Martin Tyler and Graeme Souness for their reactions to an incident which could have seen the Manchester United player sent off early against Cardiff.
The Sky Sports commentator and pundit suggested Rooney shouldn't have been on the pitch after appearing to deliberately kick Jordon Mutch.
United's forward tweeted his disappointment with the pair's continued calls for him to receive his marching orders and suggested they overlooked a later incident which saw Gary Medel lash out at Marouane Fellaini:

Rooney was cautioned in the eighth minute for his foul on Mutch, as reported by WhoScored.com. He went on to play a leading role in the 2-2 draw which saw him score one and set up another, although Cardiff netted inside injury time to stop United from claiming the win.
Souness was particularly critical of Rooney's moment of madness and complained about referee Neil Swarbrick, reported by Riath Al-Samarrai of the Daily Mail:
"He should be off, there's no argument. Why the referee has given him a yellow card is beyond me.
"
He's got a great view of it, he's keeping up with the incident all the time. I don't know what Wayne is thinking of. He's got an exploding head, we know that. That's just borne out of frustration.
If he's booked him he's seen something. If he sees that it's a sending off.
United are now unbeaten in 10 games across all competitions but trail Premier League leaders Arsenal by seven points.
Manager David Moyes has steadied a ship that was rapidly sinking at the beginning of the season but will need to significantly strengthen his squad if the Red Devils are going to push on as title challengers.
The likes of Fellaini and Tom Cleverley failed to click against Cardiff, who highlighted many of United's weaknesses with a battling display and set piece goal at the end.
Moyes believes Rooney should have remained on the pitch and that the official issued proper punishment for the incident in question:
"I thought Mutch runs across his path and runs down the line of the ball and I think Wayne's half in motion," Moyes said. "I don't think it is anymore than a booking that's for sure."
The Scottish manager now takes his side to Germany for a difficult clash against Bayer Leverkusen before taking on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Thankfully for United, Rooney won't be serving a suspension during the North London trip.
