Orlando Magic vs. Miami Heat: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

Alec NathanJun 2, 2018

It was a tale of two halves on Saturday night, as the Miami Heat stormed back over the game's final 24 minutes to defeat the Orlando Magic, 101-99, sweeping a home-and-home series with their Southeast Division foes.

Trailing by 16 points at halftime, the Heat came out with renewed energy and confidence in the third quarter, and outscored Orlando by 10. Then, in the fourth quarter, Miami topped Orlando by eight. No bucket was bigger in the game's final frame than the one that LeBron James sank with 15.1 seconds to play, as it gave the Heat the lead for good.

After a first half in which he scored just three points, James finished with 22 points (7-of-13 shooting), nine rebounds and eight assists.

Dwyane Wade, who played in his first game after six consecutive days of rest, poured in a game-high 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting, and played exceptional defense on Magic guard Arron Afflalo on the game's final possession.

Five Magic players finished in double-figures, and it was Glen Davis who led all Orlando scorers with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting in his season debut. It was his first regular-season appearance since January.

Rookie Victor Oladipo was steady throughout and finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Orlando was stellar from beyond the arc all night long, as well, shooting 43.5 percent from three. The Heat were not as consistent. Miami entered the night leading the league in three-point field-goal percentage, but converted on just six of its 25 attempts from distance.

The Heat improved to 10-3 while the Magic fell to 4-8 on the season.

Next up for Miami is a meeting with the Phoenix Suns on Monday while the Magic are slated to square off with Jeff Hornacek's squad at home on Sunday night.
