BCS Rankings 2013: Complete Standings for 5th Release

Tim DanielsNov 17, 2013

Only three weeks remain in the college football regular season following the completion of Week 12. Above all else, it means teams on the outside looking in at the BCS picture are running out of time to make their moves.

Week 12 was highlighted by USC pulling off an upset against Stanford. One week after the Cardinal pulled off the big win they needed over Oregon, they fell to an unranked Trojans squad, shaking up the BCS in the process once again.

Elsewhere, Alabama got a tougher test than expected from Mississippi State, but the defense stepped up to make sure the upset bid never picked up steam in the fourth quarter.

Florida State and Ohio State combined to score 119 points in respective wins over Syracuse and Illinois. The Buckeyes must continue to score convincing victories while hoping the Seminoles or Crimson Tide slip up down the stretch.

Every other team in the Top 10 that was in action came out on top, including a thriller with Auburn edging Georgia, so there wasn't a massive overhaul to the rankings. But Stanford's loss did create some movement near the top.

With that in mind, here's a look at the fifth set of BCS standings for the 2013 season:

1Alabama (10-0).9914
2Florida State (10-0).9661
3Ohio State (10-0).8869
4Baylor (9-0).8856
5Oregon (9-1).7917
6Auburn (10-1).7860
7Clemson (9-1) .7681
8Missouri (9-1).7231
9Stanford (8-2).6238
10Oklahoma State (9-1).5890
11South Carolina (8-2).5883
12Texas A&M (8-2).5394
13Michigan State (9-1).4646
14UCLA (8-2).4615
15Fresno State (9-0).4134
16Northern Illinois (10-0).3729
17Arizona State (8-2).3414
18Central Florida (8-1) .3033
19Wisconsin (8-2).2907
20Oklahoma (8-2).2760
21Louisville (9-1).2664
22LSU (7-3) .2645
23Southern California (8-3).1070
24Mississippi (7-3) .1048
25Minnesota (8-2) .0604

Looking toward Week 13, there are some intriguing games on tap that should impact the BCS rankings.

Baylor and Oklahoma State will square off in what should be one of the most exciting shootouts of the season. Both offenses have been clicking on all cylinders for most of the season and will need a terrific performance to pick up the all-important win.

Elsewhere, Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M should receive a challenge from LSU, which stood tall against Alabama for three quarters before the Crimson Tide pulled away in Week 11.

Arizona State and UCLA will lock up for a key battle in the Pac-12 South. A win should bring one of those teams into the spotlight.

Finally, potential BCS buster Northern Illinois will receive another tricky road test against Toledo. The Huskies can't afford to drop a game if they want to crash the BCS party.

And of course, even more drama is always one potential upset away. So Week 13 should certainly be entertaining while also helping further sort out the BCS standings heading into the final weeks.

The pressure is on. Now it's time to see which teams are up to the challenge.
