Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2013: Top Roster Additions for Week 12

Richard LangfordJun 2, 2018

There are some quality options for fantasy rosters heading into Week 12 of the Premier League season, and many of these guys offer a great value.

For my top roster additions of the week, I've identified four guys (on each level of the pitch) who will give fantasy rosters a nice boost this week and do so at a great price.

These guys may not lead your team to victory, but they will provide solid points while freeing up the budget for other splurges.

Yannick Sagbo, Forward, Hull City

If you're in need of a value play in the front, Yannick Sagbo is a quality selection this week. He is checking in at a cost of just 4.9 and has a favorable matchup this week against Crystal Palace.

While Sagbo's Hull City squad has netted just nine goals in Premier League play this season, Sagbo is coming off of back-to-back seven-point outings.

He stands a great chance to keep that decent run of points going.

Crystal Palace has allowed 21 goals on the season. That is the second-worst mark in the EPL. As a result, Sagbo offers big bang for the fantasy buck this week.

Yohan Cabaye, Midfield, Newcastle

Yohan Cabaye is enjoying a solid stretch of play. He netted a goal in a 2-3 loss to Everton on Sept. 30 and netted another in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Oct. 19.

Also, since that Sept. 30 match, he has hit two free kicks that wound up leading to scores for his team. That includes one in Newcastle's impressive 2-0 victory over Chelsea its last time on the pitch.

In all, Cabaye earned seven points against Chelsea, and he played a wonderful match.

In Week 12, he has a favorable matchup with Norwich. Norwich is tied for the second-worst mark in goals allowed at 21.

Pablo Zabaleta, Defender, Manchester City

Pablo Zabaleta's production hasn't been turning any heads. He checks in with a value of 6.1 and has been producing at that level.

He posted five points his last time on the pitch while facing Norwich.

This week, however, he offers excellent value. Manchester City gets Tottenham at home. While Spurs are playing excellent this year, they have netted just five goals in Premier League play.

On top of that, Manchester City has been incredibly stingy at home. The Citizens have allowed just two goals at home during Premier League play this season and stand an excellent shot at a clean sheet in Week 12.

Costel Pantilimon, Goalkeeper, Manchester City

Let's just stick to the Manchester City bandwagon for the back. With City boss Manuel Pellegrini sticking struggling goalkeeper Joe Hart to the bench, Costel Pantilimon offers up nice fantasy value.

He earned the clean sheet against Norwich on Nov. 2, and he is in line for another.

As I just discussed, Manchester City stands a great chance of blanking Tottenham at home this week.

Given Pantilimon's recent form and his opportunity to increase his role on his team, I expect a spirited and quality effort against Spurs.
