Virginia Tech vs. Miami: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time and More
The No. 11 Miami Hurricanes will look to rebound from their 41-14 drubbing at the hands of Florida State last week when they host ACC rival Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Prior to falling to FSU, Miami had already been flirting with its first loss of the season. Miami had needed 14 points in the fourth quarter and a last-minute touchdown to beat North Carolina, 27-23, two weeks ago. The Hurricanes duplicated that feat the following week to beat Wake Forest, 24-21.
Virginia Tech is trying to end a two-game losing streak following a 13-10 loss to Duke and a 34-27 defeat to Boston College last Saturday.
This is a key game in the ACC Coastal division standings. The Hurricanes own the top spot with just one conference loss while, Virginia Tech is tied with Georgia Tech and Duke with two division losses each.

Can the Hurricanes survive the loss of RB Duke Johnson?
As if it wasn't bad enough that Miami had to withstand getting whooped by rival Florida State, the Hurricanes lost arguably their best player in the process.
Miami school officials said that Duke Johnson's surgery for a broken ankle went well. While that is good news, the Hurricanes still have to try and replace Johnson's 920 rushing yards and the 6.3 yards per carry that he averaged. No other player on the Hurricanes has more than 294 rushing yards this season.
That's the bad news, the good news is that Miami is averaging 5.4 yards per carry, as a team. The three Hurricanes ball-carriers besides Johnson with at least 20 carries this season are all averaging at least 4.4 yards per attempt. While freshman Eduardo Clements is averaging 6.3 yards per rush, senior Gus Edwards is actually averaging better than Johnson with 6.4 yards per attempt.
Prediction: Miami 24, Virginia Tech 20
Virginia Tech is going to struggle with Miami's speed, but will be able to keep it close.
I expect the Hokies to play a sound game and score some points, or at least a very short field for the offense, with a big play on defense. However, in the end, this game looks like another close win for the Hurricanes.
