Best November Games for College Football Recruits to Attend

Edwin WeathersbyNov 6, 2013

November is a significant month in college football. Conference championship races heat up, plus many rivalry games take place.

Yet it's also a key month for recruiting. With so many great games on the slate for November, recruits will need to decide exactly which ones they should attend.

The two-time defending national champions will host many elite recruits this weekend for a huge game. A hot Big 12 team will try to outscore a conference opponent soon, plus several rivalry games will take place this month.

Note: Thursday games have been excluded from this list due to tough logistical circumstances for recruits.

LSU at Alabama on 11/9

1 of 9

Tuscaloosa will be rocking this weekend, as LSU will be in town for another epic showdown against Alabama. This has become one of the most interesting rivalries in the country due to the different ways the pair of powerhouses do business.

The Tigers offense has improved by leaps and bounds this season, as they are averaging almost 480 yards per game, says ESPN. However, Alabama, who is No. 1 in the BCS Standings, has seen its defense re-establish itself as a dominant bunch.

Several elite recruits will be on hand to watch this game, according to 247Sports

Texas Tech vs. Baylor on 11/16

2 of 9

If a recruit wants to see some offensive fireworks, then this is the game to see. Baylor's potent offense averages 417.3 yards per game through the air, while the Bears also put up more than 300 rushing yards on the ground every game, according to ESPN

Yet Texas Tech throws for an average of 414.2 yards a contest, says ESPN. The game will be played at AT&T Stadium, which is a neutral location, so some visit restrictions may apply.

However, this figures to be such an exciting game that buying a ticket is not a bad idea.

Texas A&M at LSU on 11/23

3 of 9

Johnny Manziel will head to Baton Rouge in a couple weeks, but the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner is not going for the food. Texas A&M will be looking to pull out a big win versus LSU, as this game figures to have major implications at stake.

The Aggies throw for more than 371 yards per game, shows ESPN. Johnny Football has tossed for 26 touchdowns, plus he's ran for 564 yards and eight scores on the ground. The Tigers' athletic defense will have their work cut out for them.

LSU also likely will have some great talent visiting for this game.

Arizona State at UCLA on 11/23

4 of 9

This also appears to be a high-scoring game, as Arizona State will come to Pasadena with confidence. The Sun Devils are sixth in scoring in the FBS, as they average 46.6 points per game, according to ESPN

However, UCLA is one of the most talented teams in the Pac-12. Quarterback Brett Hundley and defensive end/outside linebacker Anthony Barr are elite NFL prospects.

The Bruins will be fired up to host the team from Tempe, as it's their last home game of the regular season. A ton of top local talent will probably be at this game to check out UCLA. Cornelius Sturghill, a 3-star athlete from Tennessee, will also be visiting, says 247Sports

Oregon State at Oregon on 11/29

5 of 9

Oregon State has been one of the top surprises of the 2013 season. The Beavers are 6-3, plus they average more than 400 yards passing per game, according to ESPN

Quarterback Sean Mannion has thrown for 3,540 yards and 31 touchdowns. However, the spotlight will be on Oregon, as the Ducks offense is nothing short of amazing.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota, who may win the Heisman Trophy this year, has 29 total touchdowns, per ESPN. It would not be shocking to see Oregon roll out the red carpet for a ton of recruits for The Civil War game.

Alabama at Auburn on 11/30

6 of 9

There's a great chance that Auburn will be a 10-1 football team when its bitter rival Alabama comes to The Plains at the end of the month.

The Tigers play good defense, plus head coach Gus Malzahn orchestrates an offense that rushes for more than 300 yards per game, according to ESPN. However, the Crimson Tide only allow a stingy 9.8 points per game, per ESPN. So, something's got to give.

The Iron Bowl will likely be attended by 4-star defensive tackle Josh Frazier, says 247Sports

UCLA at USC on 11/30

7 of 9

USC will be the home team for this year's "Crosstown Showdown." However, UCLA will come into the game as the more stable program.

This could be the most important game of the season for the Trojans, who are desperate to re-establish themselves as the kings of the Los Angeles recruiting trail.

A loss to the Bruins would not help USC reach its recruiting goal, plus UCLA will be looking to use this game as a platform to provide a jolt to its own 2014 recruiting cycle.

The Trojans likely will invite a ton of local 2014 and 2015 recruits to this game.

Florida State at Florida on 11/30

8 of 9

This is a nasty rivalry that can get personal on the field. Many players who play for the Seminoles and Gators have grown up playing against one another, so many personal rivalries surround this game on an annual basis.

Florida State is piloted by stud freshman quarterback Jameis Winston, but Florida only surrenders 17.1 points per game, says ESPN. The athleticism and speed on the field will be great for a recruit to see, as it will give them a terrific idea of how fast the college game is.

Raekwon McMillan, a 5-star linebacker, 5-star cornerback Jalen Tabor and 4-star linebacker/safety prospect Dwight Williams will be in Gainesville for the weekend, per 247Sports.

Ohio State at Michigan on 11/30

9 of 9

Ohio State will come into The Big House in a championship state of mind. The Buckeyes put up more than 48 points a game, while they only give up 17 points a contest, says ESPN

Michigan doesn't boast many great statistics, but it will not be hard for Big Blue to get up for this game. The Wolverines likely will use this game as a centerpiece for a big recruiting weekend.

It's Ohio State at Michigan: What more can you ask for as a recruit?
