FSU vs. Wake Forest: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time and More

Jun 8, 2018

Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles have a shot at winning the ACC Atlantic Division on Saturday with a win over Wake Forest at BB&T Field.

Florida State sits at a pristine 8-0, scores just over 51 points per game, has a Heisman favorite under center and rocked in-state rival and then-ranked No. 7 Miami (FL) 41-14 in a mockery of one of the sport's greatest rivalries last week.

If it sounds like the Demon Deacons have an uphill battle, we're just getting started. Wake Forest has lost two straight, sits at 4-5 and ranks No. 112 with just 19.4 points scored per game on average.

Can Florida State Avoid Complacency?

Look, the Seminoles are on the way to a national championship if this keeps up—Winston and Co. have defeated three Top 25 teams by a margin of 155-28.

Winston has thrown for over 2,500 yards and has 24 touchdowns to just six interceptions. Running back Devonta Freeman has over 600 yards and eight scores, while Karlos Williams has also chipped in with seven touchdowns.

Oh, and the defense ranks No. 4 in the nation with just over 13 points allowed per game.

All Florida State has to do is stay the course. The difficult waters have been successfully navigated in impressive fashion.

Prediction

Not only is this a David versus Goliath matchup, David will be without his slingshot.

Per Live 5 News' Kevin Bilodeau, star receiver Michael Campanaro will miss the next month or so with a broken collarbone:

Campanaro ranks third in ACC history with 227 career receptions, and was once again having a stellar year with 67 receptions for 803 yards and six scores—the next leading receiver on the team has 15 receptions for just over 200 yards.

The spread for this game is too kind. Last year Florida State cruised to a 52-0 victory.

With Winston under center, the Seminoles are even better this year.

This one won't be any closer.

Final Score

Seminoles win 50-10
