Huge Statue of Zinedine Zidane Headbutting Marco Materazzi Bought by Qatar
It was an iconic moment in World Cup history—Zinedine Zidane delivering a headbutt into the chest of Marco Materazzi and getting himself sent off in the 2006 final between France and Italy.
To commemorate it, an Algerian artist named Adel Abdessemed created a giant bronze statue. The work of art goes by the name "Coup de Tete," which translates all too simply as "headbutt."
It stands 16-feet tall, according to Yahoo!'s Dirty Tackle blog, and is now in the proud possession of the Qatar Museum Authority (QMA).

This is what the QMA's director of art Jean Paul Engelen had to say about the acquisition in an interview with the Doha News (H/T Yahoo! once more):
"It’s an impressive piece. It’s a huge sculpture, and it’s done in the same style as Greek Mythological statues, but this glorifies human defects instead. It shows that although we sometimes treat footballers like gods, they’re not—they’re just human beings.
