Best Twitter Reactions to FSU's 63-0 Rout of Marlyland

Gregory John VitaleJun 8, 2018

The No.8 FSU Seminoles manhandled the No.25 Maryland Terrapins today, winning 63-0.

FSU's domination made history in a couple different ways. ESPN-associated Twitter accounts provide us with the details below.

The beat-down saw Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston shine and Terrapins quarterback C.J. Brown leave with an injury in the second quarter. The FSU defense set the tone, but both ESPNU and Colin Cowherd emphasized Winston's performance in tweets below.

Alex Prewitt, a reporter for The Washington Post who covers Maryland Athletics, tweeted out his gamer an hour or so after the final whistle blew.

He concluded more of the same, namely that "Maryland will never learn what could have been had Brown not left the game just before halftime following a punishing helmet-to-chest blow from Florida State defensive lineman Jacobbi McDaniel. Not that it likely would have mattered."

No doubt Winston played phenomenally, but more should be expected from a Top 25 team, right? Bleacher Report's College Football Twitter account sure thought so.

There was no real signs that such a blowout would occur today for Maryland. Erin Andrews even put the Seminoles on upset alert, picking the Terrapins to win the game.

Although she is now being bashed on Twitter for it, a 25 beating an 8 is not unheard of. After all, stranger things have happened.

FSU now looks forward to a bye week which they will undoubtedly use to vigorously prepare for the third-ranked Clemson Tigers...who just so happen to be the only other team in the AP Top 10 from the ACC. It should be a big game with huge impact on both conference and national standings.
