The Anonymous Article Competition: January Transfer Window (Results)
The first edition of The Anonymous Article Competition is complete and the much-anticipated identity of the authors and the results of the voting for round one are finally here.
An extensive amount of behind the scenes work, several months of military-style planning and an incredibly large and well trained ex-SAS security unit was put in to place to ensure the writer's identities remained a secret throughout the campaign.
The chosen subject was the January transfer window and the unknown writers had to submit their views on the controversial issue in anyway they felt most passionate about.

Luckily the two Bleacher regulars offered up arguments for and against keeping the mid-season transfer window and both articles were, as expected, packed with quality.
Unfortunately there can only be one winner.
Article No.1 finished in second place with 18.8 percent of the vote and was written by Maire Ofiere.
Article No.2 finished in first place with 81.3 percent of the vote and was written by David Gore.
Congratulations to David for his title-winning article which has been crowned the very first A.A.C winner. Commiserations to Maire for her cutting piece which, despite coming in as runner-up, oozes the personality of her much loved Bleacher work.
