College Football Recruiting 2014: Top 25 Stars, Week 3 Edition
The elite prospects of a talented 2014 recruiting class continue to command headlines on high school football fields throughout the country. Coveted recruits are thriving under the microscope and posting dominant performances despite extra attention from the opposition.
Each week, we examine the individual efforts that deserve a long look in the spotlight. Here's our latest national tour of senior recruits who starred during a busy weekend of football action.

25. 4-Star TE Mavin Saunders (Houston, Texas)
1 of 25Kinkaid tight end Mavin Saunders caught five passes, including a touchdown, in a 42-20 win over Houston Christian, according to 247Sports. The 6'6", 220-pound receiving target committed to Florida State in June.
Saunders also received scholarship offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Illinois and Ohio State.
24. 5-Star ATH Jabrill Peppers (Paramus, N.J.)
2 of 25Paramus Catholic star Jabrill Peppers picked his team up in a 30-18 win over Delbarton. The Michigan commit accounted for 114 yards and a rushing touchdown on 10 carries, according to NJ.com.
His effort included an 80-yard score that shifted momentum.
23. 3-Star CB Brian Peavy (Houston, Texas)
3 of 25Westfield High School standout Brian Peavy returned a fumble 60 yards for a touchdown to help fuel his squad to a 38-31 win over Klein Collins, per 247Sports. The 5'9", 170-pound cornerback holds an offer from Texas Tech while drawing interest from Alabama, Arizona State and Northwestern.
22. 3-Star QB Ian Fieber (Mission Viejo, Calif.)
4 of 25Mission Viejo quarterback Ian Fieber found a way to carve up a heralded Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) defense in a cross-country battle between two national powers. He completed 14 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown Saturday night in a 28-25 overtime victory at home, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Fieber led a late drive that resulted in a game-tying 32-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining in regulation. He committed to San Jose State in August after drawing interest from Florida State, Arizona State and Colorado.
21. 3-Star RB Auston Anderson (Plano, Texas)
5 of 25Running back Auston Anderson enabled Plano West High School to put away South Garland. He totaled 110 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries in a 35-17 victory.
Anderson committed to Northwestern in May. He also holds offers from Stanford, Arizona, Texas and Arkansas.
20. 3-Star RB Madre London (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
6 of 25St. Thomas Aquinas running back Madre London led the offense in a 27-13 victory over defending national champion John Curtis Christian (La.) at the Superdome in New Orleans. He carried the ball 12 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns, according to the Miami Herald.
London, who holds offers from Michigan State, Nebraska, Mississippi State and Wisconsin, scored on a 61-yard run to open second-half action.
19. 3-Star QB Aaron Sharp (Humble, Texas)
7 of 25Summer Creek star Aaron Sharp sliced and diced the Port Neches-Groves defense on Thursday night en route to a dominant performance. He completed 17 of 24 passes, piling up 283 yards and three scores, per 247Sports.
Sharp led his team to a 38-17 win. He is committed to Kansas State but was in attendance for Saturday's Texas A&M-Alabama game, according to 247Sports.
18. 4-Star S Jaleel Wadood (Lakewood, Calif.)
8 of 25St. John Bosco standout Jaleel Wadood came up big on both sides of the ball in a 52-31 win over Chandler (Ariz.). The 5'11", 170-pound playmaker caught nine passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns while also contributing in the defensive secondary, according to the Press-Telegram.
Wadood made six tackles and deflected a pass on defense. He committed to California in July.
17. 4-Star QB Treon Harris (Miami, Fla.)
9 of 25Florida State commit Treon Harris has been a key component of Booker T. Washington's rise up national rankings. He completed 14 of 18 passes for 239 touchdowns and three touchdowns in a 45-0 win over Carol City last Wednesday, according to CBS Miami.
Harris also holds offers from Miami, Oregon, Penn State and South Carolina.
16. Unranked WR John Caldwell (Dallas, Texas)
10 of 25John Caldwell hasn't yet landed on the radar as a major collegiate recruit, but the St. Mark's wide receiver had a monster game against Irving Cistercian. He hauled in 15 passes for 313 yards, according to 247Sports.
His performance also featured four touchdown receptions in a 31-14 win.
15. 5-Star RB Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La.)
11 of 25Coveted running back prospect Leonard Fournette wasn't able to lift St. Augustine to a victory over fellow New Orleans powerhouse Edna Karr, but he did his part on offense in a 33-24 loss. Fournette raced for a 93-yard touchdown reception, picked up 84 yards on the ground and also threw a 63-yard score, according to The Advocate.
He is still considering several offers, including Michigan, Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and USC.
14. 5-Star ATH John Smith (Long Beach, Calif.)
12 of 25John Smith does just about everything on offense for Long Beach Poly. He provided fireworks once again in an upset victory over Corona Centennial.
Smith hauled in a touchdown reception and rushed for score, leading his team to a 35-28 win, according to the Los Angeles Times. He had 142 yards on 16 touches.
His offers include Oregon, Alabama, Ohio State, UCLA and Michigan.
13. 5-Star RB Dalvin Cook (Miami, Fla.)
13 of 25Miami Central star Dalvin Cook cruised by defenders during a 49-0 win over Coral Reef. The Florida commit scored three touchdowns and gained 162 yards on nine carries, according to the Miami Herald.
He also had three touchdowns called back by penalties in the first quarter. His scores were all from at least 20 yards out.
12. 3-Star QB Ronald Moore (Richmond, Texas)
14 of 25Texas State commit Ronald Moore put on a passing clinic in a 37-0 win over Aldine Eisenhower. The Fort Bend quarterback completed 19 of 24 attempts for 302 yards and three scores, according to 247Sports.
Moore also holds offers from Houston and New Mexico State.
11. 3-Star RB Jonathan Hilliman (Jersey City, N.J.)
15 of 25Rutgers commit Jonathan Hilliman ran wild Friday night against Eastern Christian Academy (Elkton, Md.). He gained 204 yards and scored four touchdowns in a thrilling 35-32 win, per NJ.com.
The 6'1", 210-pound St. Peter's Prep running back chose Rutgers over offers from Alabama, Boston College, Florida, Miami and Michigan.
10. 3-Star QB Foster Sawyer (Fort Worth, Texas)
16 of 25TCU commit Foster Sawyer found plenty of success through the air against Dallas Greenhill. He completed 13 of 17 pass attempts for 273 yards and four scores in a 56-14 win for Fort Worth All Saints, according to 247Sports.
Sawyer also rushed for a touchdown. He chose TCU from an offer list that includes Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma State and UCLA.
9. 3-Star WR Nate Brown (Suwanee, Ga.)
17 of 25North Gwinnett wide receiver Nate Brown was practically unstoppable in a 36-17 win over rival Norcross. He hauled in 10 passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Brown remains uncommitted for college but is considering offers from Vanderbilt, Missouri, Louisville and Illinois.
8. 4-Star QB Deshaun Watson (Gainesville, Ga.)
18 of 25Deshaun Watson dismantled Winder-Barrow throughout 68-0 win. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns, adding another score on the ground, per the Barrow County News.
The performance puts him over 10,000 career passing yards. He established the state record as a junior.
Watson is committed to Clemson.
7. 5-Star WR Speedy Noil (New Orleans, La.)
19 of 25Speedy Noil led Edna Carr to an impressive 33-24 win over St. Augustine at the Superdome in New Orleans. The nation's No. 1 wide receiver prospect in 247Sports rankings starred at quarterback throughout the contest.
He threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns but really burned St. Augustine with his legs, per The Advocate. Noil rushed for a pair of scores, including a three-yard run that put the game out of reach midway through the fourth quarter.
LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, USC and Alabama are among his top college choices.
6. 3-Star QB Mason Rudolph (Rock Hill, S.C.)
20 of 25Northwestern quarterback Mason Rudolph led his squad to a memorable overtime win against state powerhouse Byrnes. He completed 25 passes for 267 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-35 win, according to groupstate.com.
Rudolph also rushed for a touchdown. He is committed to Oklahoma State
5. 5-Star QB Will Grier (Davidson, N.C.)
21 of 25Davidson Day quarterback Will Grier threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns on 30 completions in a 64-14 win over Harrells Christian Academy, according to MaxPreps. It was another strong effort from the 6'3", 180-pound Florida commit.
The future Gator also garnered offers from Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina and Tennessee.
4. 5-Star QB Kyle Allen (Scottsdale, Ariz.)
22 of 25Texas A&M commit Kyle Allen, the No. 1 quarterback in 247Sports composite rankings, torched Willow Canyon Thursday night. The 6'3", 190-pound passer completed 21 of 24 attempts for 356 yards and five touchdowns, per MaxPreps.
Allen's efforts led Desert Mountain to a 54-28 win. The future Aggie also holds offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, UCLA and Alabama.
3. 5-Star WR KD Cannon (Mount Pleasant, Texas)
23 of 25Dominant wide receiver KD Cannon continues to put up huge numbers for Mount Pleasant. He recently reeled in nine passes for 271 yards and five scores in a 77-34 win over Terrell, according to 247Sports.
Cannon committed to Baylor in August. His offer list includes Clemson, Florida State, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.
2. 3-Star ATH Desmon White (DeSoto, Texas)
24 of 25DeSoto quarterback Desmon White was excellent against Euless Trinity, completing 19 passes for 322 yards and five touchdowns through the air, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He added 157 yards on the ground in a 61-35 win.
White's 479-yard performance may do wonders for his collegiate recruitment, which has yet to garner any BCS offers.
1. 4-Star RB Royce Freeman (Imperial, Calif.)
25 of 25Royce Freeman found the end zone five times in a 42-21 win over Sweetwater, per the Imperial Valley Press. He rushed for 322 yards in the contest, shredding the defense with several scintillating runs.
Freeman committed to Oregon in July.
