Johnny Manziel Drama Has Charles Barkley Thinking About Rooting for Alabama

Charles Barkley has had just about enough of your Johnny Manziel guff. 

AL.com's Mark Heim delivers some news that might shock some Auburn faithful, but will hardly surprise those who know and love the outspoken Barkley. 

The former Tigers basketball star and NBA legend was on ESPN 1000's Waddle and Silvy radio show and gave his thoughts on Manziel and the incessant media circus surrounding him. 

The short version: He doesn't like it.

Johnny Manziel, he's doing something I never thought was possible. He's going to make me root for Alabama this weekend.

I never thought I would say those words. I am so close to saying, 'Roll Tide.' Johnny Manziel is annoying me so much. I'm really close to saying, 'Roll Tide.'

They're not going to be happy. But let me tell you something. Johnny Manziel, oh my God, the only thing saving Manziel is Miley Cyrus. I just think that Johnny Manziel has done a lot of stupid stuff in the last three or four months.

Never change, Chuckster. 

As many of you know, Texas A&M and its star quarterback will take on Alabama in a highly anticipated game on Saturday. But Barkley will not be rooting for Alabama—not really. 

Resting comfortably between hyperbole and humor, Barkley is simply reminding you that there is a time when you have to sit back, throw up your hands and scream, "Enough is enough!" as you shake your head. 

For Barkley, shouting "Roll Tide" is essentially a Yankees fan rolling up Broadway in a Red Sox cap or a Packers fan chiming in with "Da Bears."

Still, haven't we all had enough Johnny Football to keep us going for the rest of the season? If the autograph controversy and inane half-game suspension weren't enough, you have things like a Manziel pinata and "Johnny Cam" to consider. 

While we love to see the young man carve up defenses, the silly peripherals are wearing thin on us all. Don't hate on Barkley, Auburn fans. 

This is just the hilarious rant of a man who is tired, weary and maybe a tad bit woozy from the coverage. We all say some crazy things when we are exhausted.
