Inter Milan vs. Juventus: Date, Time, Live Stream and Preview for Italian Derby

One of the biggest matches of the Serie A season will take place as Inter Milan and Juventus battle in the Derby d’Italia.

Juventus were by far the better club last season, winning the league title in convincing fashion with 87 points. They are picking up right where they left off with two victories in two matches to start this season.

Meanwhile, Internazionale appear to be on the right track with two wins as well to stick around at the top of the table to start the campaign. Compared to last season's ninth-place finish, this is much more familiar territory for the historic club.

Still, this match would be great even if the clubs were in last place. This pair always want to beat each other and last month's draw between the sides at the International Champions Cup only fueled the fire.

Top Storyline: Are Inter Really Back?

After dominating Serie A for much of the last decade, things have gone south in Milan over the past two years. The team finished in sixth place in the league two years ago, then ninth last year.

While they have cycled through a number of coaches in that time, a lot of their struggles have been simply due to a lack of talent compared to their Italian rivals.

The club at least have more confidence this time around with two wins in two matches. Of course, defeating just Genoa and Catania does not win you titles. Inter will have to put together a strong performance against Juventus to set up for a quality season.

If they cannot get it done at home, this could be another long year.

Playing in a derby match at home is certain to get Inter Milan fired up and the energy in the stadium is certain to be electric. This will allow the team to be aggressive and get off to a good start.

However, Juventus are just too talented to lose this match. Gianluigi Buffon has been as good as ever in goal, while Carlos Tevez is primed for a big year after coming over from Manchester City.

With Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal controlling things in the midfield, they will hold possession and limit opportunities for Inter. This will be enough to hold on for a tough win for the road team.
