Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies should easily cruise to victory in Week 2 against Sam Houston State.

Manziel sat out the first half to serve his half-game suspension against Rice, and while he watched from the sideline, the Owls gave the Aggies a run for their money. At halftime, Texas A&M nursed a seven-point lead.

The Heisman Trophy winner wasted no time establishing his dominance, however, leading the Aggies on four scoring drives while throwing three touchdowns on just eight attempts. 

Love him or hate him, one thing nobody can deny is Manziel's prowess on the football field. 

The Bearkats put together a phenomenal opening-week performance against Houston Baptist, winning the game by a score of 74-0. Unfortunately, Sam Houston State doesn't have much of a chance in this upcoming contest.

Can Sam Houston State Stay Within 30 Points of Texas A&M?

A repeat champion in the Southern Conference, Sam Houston State is a respectable program, but it's not anywhere close to being in Texas A&M's league.

A hard-nosed football team that wins by playing rock-solid defense and pounding the rock on offense, the Bearkats won't be intimidated this weekend.

Texas A&M hosted this same Bearkats team last year the week after shocking Alabama, and the small school was helpless to stop Manziel and the Aggies offense from scoring points. Sam Houston State didn't score until late in the third quarter.

By that time, the score was 47-7.

If the Bearkats manage to lose by 30 points or less, it should be considered a great victory. 

Prediction

Sam Houston State is going to lose. 

The biggest question is by how much. 

The Aggies are SEC strong with one of the hottest players in college football leading the charge.

Though Texas A&M doesn't feature a dominant defense like Alabama, the Bearkats won't be able to find much purchase running the ball, and quarterback Brian Bell isn't capable of matching Manziel in a shootout.
