Alabama's Nick Saban Eats Little Debbies for Breakfast Every Morning

Tristan ThornburghAug 27, 2013

In his recent interview with GQ by Warren St. John for an article titled "Sympathy for the Devil," Alabama head coach Nick Saban opened up about the roots of his perfectionism and the keys to his success.

The feature is great from top to bottom, but there was one part that caught our attention: Saban's daily food regimen. According to the article, Saban has no time to decide what to eat each day, so he starts by eating two Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies for breakfast and has a salad of iceberg lettuce, turkey and tomatoes for lunch.

Now, Saban is undoubtedly in great shape, especially for a 61-year-old. But Little Debbies? I guess if you have an extremely strict daily routine you have to live a little somehow—whatever his reasoning, it seems to be working for him.
