Premier League Week 2 Fixtures: Complete Schedule for Next Set of EPL Matches
The opening week of Premier League action provided a little bit of everything. A dominant performance by defending champions Manchester United, an early road upset of Arsenal by Aston Villa and plenty of hard-fought matches to open the new campaign.
Expect more of the same during Week 2. For some clubs, it's already turning into a busy season with the start of European matches, but the added games shouldn't have a major impact since it's so early in the new term. Later in the campaign, busy schedules will become a greater hurdle.
For now, clubs are focused on getting off on the right foot to put them on a successful path for the long season ahead. Let's take a look at the complete schedule of matches for Week 2, followed by a look at the top clashes on tap.

Top Matches to Watch
Fulham vs. Arsenal
Arsene Wenger was already starting to feel the pressure after failing to deliver a marquee signing before the season-opener. Now, the heat is really on after a lackluster 3-1 loss to Aston Villa. Granted, there were some questionable decisions by officials, but the Gunners didn't play up to their potential either.
The biggest key against Fulham will be finding a way to get Theo Walcott more heavily involved. The dynamic forward is a threat to make something happen every time he touches the ball. There's no reason he shouldn't be the focal point of the attack, especially when the squad is struggled to produce chances.
Fulham enter the match following a solid road victory over Sunderland. While the Black Cats often dominated the run of play, the Cottagers did well to protect the box and remain on the same page defensively. A similar effort will be necessary to slow down what should be a hungry Arsenal side.
Aston Villa vs. Liverpool
Christian Benteke is a force. Aston Villa were not the far better club on the pitch at the Emirates—it was actually quite even—but having a player like the Belgian international atop the formation continues to serve as a major advantage for Villa. He continued to shine against Chelsea midweek.
Slowing him down will be the main task for Liverpool. The Reds' back line started the new campaign with continued strong play in the defensive third. It was their solid effort in that area of the pitch which really allowed them to show progress near the end of last season.
If the Liverpool attack can also remain as dangerous as it did in the win over Stoke, the Reds could surprise. Daniel Sturridge led the way, but it was the play of Philippe Coutinho and Iago Aspas in support that helped them control the match. It's a trend the club needs to continue.
Manchester United vs. Chelsea
The spotlight match of Week 2 features two clubs with reason to believe they can contend for the Premier League title. Manchester United opened with a 4-1 victory over Swansea, while Chelsea cruised past a motivated Hull City side, 2-0. The Blues went on to defeat Villa on Wednesday as well.
Danny Welbeck provided the most encouraging signs for United. He scored twice, matching the always reliable Robin van Persie. If he can finally enjoy the breakout campaign United supporters have been waiting for, the club's attack will become exponentially more dangerous as they look to repeat.
Chelsea's start is a reminder about the importance of the seemingly Frank Lampard. Even though the Blues have plenty of young attacking talent in the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar, the veteran leader still holds his own. He helps headline a star-studded, must-see early matchup.
