Gold Cup 2013 Schedule: TV and Live Stream Information for CONCACAF Tournament
The 2013 Gold Cup kicked off Sunday with a pair of thrilling matches decided by one goal each, and Day 2 held similar intrigue as Honduras bested Haiti and El Salvador played to a 2-2 draw with Trinidad and Tobago.
The Gold Cup traditionally boasts some talented squads, but all eyes will be on the United States and Mexico as they attempt to reach the finals for the fourth consecutive year. Mexico is already at a disadvantage, however.
The Mexican national team has struggled of late, and its 2-1 loss to Panama on the opening day of action only raised more questions about the team’s prospects in the 2014 World Cup.
In that match, the Mexican side struggled to keep pace with Panama, lucky to escape with just a one-goal disadvantage when all was said and done. If Jose Manuel de la Torre can’t right the ship soon, his squad may face a fate similar to its Confederations Cup letdown.
The United States faces its first test on Tuesday with a late-night showdown against Belize. The team certainly has a lot to play for, as a 2015 Confederations Cup berth will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.

Panama
Any team that jumps out ahead of Mexico on Day 1 deserves some credit.
Panama looked exceptional against Mexico on the opening day of action, and while the Mexican side doesn’t look like the giant we’ve come to expect in recent years, there’s still something to be said for the 2-1 victory.
The most positive sign from that match was Panama’s ability to find its rhythm early both halves. It struck first in the opening frame to take a 1-0 advantage, and despite a late second-half goal from Mexico, Panama came roaring back with a go-ahead score in the early minutes of the second half, retaining that lead for the remainder of the contest.
Panama certainly boasts a lot of talent, and with a head start over both Mexico and Canada in Group A, it’s also a team to keep a close eye on as the group stage continues.
