There is so much talk in international football about transfer rates—how much that player was bought and sold for—that we sometimes forget about a player's salary once he signs.

This video takes a look at some of Europe's top earners, including Lionel Messi and his new contract with Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo's deal with Real Madrid that runs through 2015, Samuel Eto'o's record-setting deal with Anzhi of the Russian Premier League, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's massive deal at PSG and Wayne Rooney's current deal at Manchester United, for however long that lasts.

More than just looking at the deals, it's interesting to see how much value the team has gotten from these contracts.
