Dwyane Wade Fashions Corny 'WOW' Nickname, LeBron James Does Not Approve

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has himself a new nickname, and teammate LeBron James is none too pleased. 

We will forgo the issues with fashioning a nickname for yourself, because there is plenty to keep us busy with Wade's new moniker, "WOW," which stands for Way of Wade. 

The Palm Beach Post (via Slam Online) reports the star guard wants to unveil his latest nickname—one that King James finds, well, corny.

LeBron James was so amused by Dwyane Wade’s new self-proclaimed nickname that he dared Wade to reveal it to the media before doing so himself.

“It’s ‘WOW,’ Way of Wade,” James said, referring to the slogan for Wade’s Li-Ning shoes. “I think it’s corny.”

Wade, who discarded the “Flash” nickname two years ago, did not concur. Wow? “I’m taking it global!” he shouted.

You only need to read this report to know exactly how things are going for the Miami Heat. They are on an 11-game winning streak and own a six-game lead in the East.

Right now, their biggest issue is that Wade is horrible at coming up with nicknames. 

While I will always be partial to Flash, I am very open to new nicknames for the superstar. I can't, however, get on board with WOW. Amongst gamers, that acronym is best known for representing the World of Warcraft.  

I still say the best way to get a nickname is for others to dream them up. 

At least he didn't decide to go with "OMG" or "YAY." Then again, we are a little sad he didn't happen upon the swell nickname "HUZZAH."

Regardless, the Miami Heat will take on the Sacramento Kings next, and WOW will be in attendance.
