Valladolid vs. Barcelona Live Stream: Where to Catch La Liga Action

Barcelona, holders of the only undefeated record in La Liga, are traveling to Valladolid in a surprisingly interesting La Liga match. 

While Valladolid is hardly a top club, it has exceeded expectations in a big way. Despite the low expectations surrounding the club, it has managed to be within five points of European qualification at this point. 

On the other side, Barca has dominated this season thanks to an attack that leads La Liga with an astounding 54 goals. Superstar forward Lionel Messi is scoring at a blistering pace, with 25 goals in 16 matches this season.

Valladolid is already battle tested against some of La Liga's top clubs. They've already faced five of the top six clubs, with only Barca not among that group. Valladolid is only 1-4 in those matches, but they've never lost by more than one goal.

As lopsided as this matchup seems on paper, Valladolid will keep this close. Expect an exciting match between the established Barcelona and the upstart Valladolid.

Lionel Messi

Twenty-five goals, 16 matches. Let that number sink in a bit, then realize that no other footballer in La Liga is within eight goals of that number.

Despite taking an incredible 83 shots, Messi  remains one of the most efficient scorers in football, scoring on around 30 percent of his shots. For comparison, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored on just 12 percent of his shots.

The Barca attack runs through Messi. Expect him to take plenty of shots and score at least once in this match.

Oscar

Oscar Gonzalez Marcos has broken out as one of the top playmakers in La Liga. With seven goals and an excellent five assists, Oscar is just as skillful at setting up teammates as he is at shooting the ball himself.

Oscar has developed as one of the better midfielders in La Liga, and he's been a big reason for Valladolid's competitiveness this season. 

Cesc Fabregas

Barcelona has racked up some gaudy statistics this season. While Messi's 25 goals is incredible, Cesc Fabregas has been nearly as impressive by tying for the La Liga lead with nine assists (a status he shares with teammate Andres Iniesta).

With Iniesta and Fabregas setting up shots, Barcelona regularly has excellent attacking opportunities. Fabregas in particular has developed into one of the best midfielders in La Liga, and if not for his talented teammates, Fabregas could be the star in Barcelona.

As is, Fabregas is a key player on a stacked Barcelona club, and his passing and playmaking will be crucial in this match.
