College Football Recruiting 2013: The Top 11 Upcoming Recruiting Visits

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

Recruiting visits become more crucial the closer they are to national signing day. With it now being mid-December, if a recruit is taking a visit to school now, it's a pretty big deal.

Looking across the landscape of recruiting, I see about 11 big recruiting visits coming up. This read will put the focus onto those 11 visits, as they all have huge implications. These are 11 of the nation's best prospects making key visits to several key programs.

Come inside, and check out the top 11 upcoming recruiting visits happening in the very near future.

Richard Benjamin to Louisville

1 of 10

Benjamin is one of the most underrated prospects in the country. He's a wide receiver that stands close to 6'0" tall and weighs nearly 200 pounds.

A one-time commit to UCF, the Florida native will make the trip to Louisville this weekend, according to 247Sports.com. Charlie Strong knows how to recruit in Florida, so look for the coach to put the press on the speedy WR prospect.

Maquedius Bain to LSU

2 of 10

A huge, 6'5", 285-pound defensive tackle, Bain is a former basketball player now turned football player. He shows great athleticism for a trench player, flashes strength and has good change-of-direction skills.

He decommitted from Florida State a few months ago and has been taking trips. Rivals.com shows him listed as one of the visitors this weekend to LSU.

Landing Bain would only strengthen Les Miles' DL unit and infuse the interior with more quickness and agility.

Alex Collins to Florida

3 of 10

Will Muschamp saw Collins decommit from Miami earlier this fall, and now 247Sports.com reports Muschamp and his staff will host Collins for a visit this weekend.

The 5'11", 205-pound RB from the Sunshine State has excellent speed, elusiveness and wiggle. Collins also has solid size and offers to be more than just a situational back.

Florida would love to add him to a future depth chart that would also include Matt Jones, Kelvin Taylor and Adam Lane.

DeMarcus Robinson to Florida

4 of 10

While Muschamp and his staff are hosting Collins, DeMarcus Robinson will also be on campus, per Scout.com. A 6'2" WR with deceptive quickness and a good length, Florida will pair Robinson with fellow 2013 WR commit, 6'4" Ahmad Fulwood.

Robinson seems to have been trying to get down to Gainesville for months and probably was met with some resistance from Dabo Swinney.

Clemson held Robinson's commitment, but he's flipped to Florida now and will be in Gainesville checking out his new future digs this weekend.

Alquadin Muhmmad to Notre Dame

5 of 10

Scout.com also reports that this weekend will be the time that Alquadin Muhammad visits Notre Dame. Muhammad has put recruiting on the back-burner to focus on his season, but now that it's over, he's back on the grind.

I think the Irish have long been in great standing with the 6'4", 230-pound DE from New Jersey.

If things go well this weekend, a commitment could happen—if it already hasn't.

James Quick to Louisville

6 of 10

Richard Benjamin won't be the only WR that the Cardinals will be wooing this weekend. Scout.com reports that James Quick will be looking at Louisville in person again this weekend.

The 6'0", 175-pound, slick WR prospect is the best player in Kentucky this year and a wanted man by Louisville. The Cardinals will try to impress Quick to get his signed letter of intent when he visits this weekend.

David Dawson to Michigan

7 of 10

Dawson was once committed to Michigan and then decommitted. Now it appears the Wolverines are back in the picture.

The 6'4", 290-pound OG prospect will be among the many visitors in Ann Arbor this weekend, reports Rivals.com

Brady Hoke got Michigan back in the thick of things a few weeks ago, and Dawson will seriously consider playing for the Maize and Blue again. Look for the committed Michigan players to be in Dawson's ear all weekend about recommitting.

Laquon Treadwell to Oklahoma

8 of 10

Treadwell is a 6'3", 195-pound WR from Illinois that I grade as one of the elite prospects in this year's class. He's a great talent, and some list him as the best WR in the country.

Ole Miss has a great chance with Treadwell, but so does Oklahoma. Bob Stoops is having Treadwell trek to Norman this weekend so that he and the Sooners can show the talented WR around.

Rivals.com reports that Treadwell is scheduled to arrive Friday.

Leon McQuay to USC

9 of 10

The Florida safety was due in Los Angeles last week but changed his date to December 14th, according to Scout.com. McQuay will fly in to see USC again, this time being accompanied by his mother.

The Trojans are trying to pair a rangy and speedy free-safety type of player to go along with 5-star safety commit Su'a Cravens.

McQuay fits that mold, and the 6'1" 185-pounder has a great amount of interest in USC.

Tahaan Goodman and Priest Willis to LSU

10 of 10

These two have been linked together as a possible package deal since the spring.

While it remains to be seen if they indeed end up at the same school, they'll trip together to LSU this weekend, shows Scout.com.

Les Miles will have two of the better DBs in the country while at the same time hosting Maquedius Bain and several other prospects. Landing these two back-end talents would be a huge coup for LSU, which is why this visit is such a big deal.
