Florida State vs. Georgia Tech: Latest Spread Info, BCS Impact and Predictions
Florida State is looking for its first ACC championship since 2005 when it roars into Charlotte to face Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The Seminoles (10-2, 7-1 ACC) are coming off a 37-26 loss to Florida, but they have the run defense to limit the Yellow Jackets' high-powered rushing attack.
After three straight wins, Georgia Tech (6-6, 5-3 ACC) got rocked by Georgia last week. The Yellow Jackets last won the ACC championship game in 2009.
Here's a look at the ACC clash on Saturday.
Where: Bank of America, Charlotte, NC
When: Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET

Live Stream: WatchESPN
Spread: Florida State -14 (via ScoresAndOdds.com)
I have Florida State winning by 15 points (see prediction below) so I would take the spread. It's possible that the Seminoles score even more than I'm predicting, too.
Over/Under: 62.5 (via ScoresAndOdds.com)
I would take the "Under" here because I have Florida State limiting Georgia Tech's rushing attack just enough and we all saw what Georgia did against the Yellow Jackets last week in a 42-10 laugher.

BCS Implications
Whoever wins this game goes on to the Orange Bowl as the ACC champion. Florida State will go bowling regardless, but Georgia Tech needs a win to make a bowl game.
Key to Florida State Victory: Stop Georgia Tech Ground Game
Georgia Tech is averaging 323.3 rushing yards per game this season, third in the nation. The Yellow Jackets are also tied for fifth in yards per carry (5.60, via CFBStats.com) and have amassed 46 rushing touchdowns (third).
Florida State has allowed just 2.65 yards per carry (third in the nation) and nine rushing touchdowns (tied for ninth), but the Seminoles allowed Florida to post 244 yards and three touchdowns on the ground last week.
Key to Georgia Tech Victory: Find Success on the Ground
"Defense" would be obvious here, but nothing's going to change the fact that this is a team that relies on outscoring its opponents and running the pigskin is a big part of that.
Prediction: Florida State 38, Georgia Tech 23
I expect Georgia Tech to be able to have some success on the ground given Florida State's run defense backpedaled against Florida, but I still don't think the Yellow Jackets will be able to do enough to outscore a Seminoles team that can score in bunches itself.
