Manchester United's road to Wembley has not been an easy one, and it will get much harder in the fourth round. The Red Devils defeated a strong Newcastle side on Wednesday to earn a berth in the fourth round and now face another tough test on the road at Stamford Bridge. Sir Alex Ferguson's men last won this competition in 2010.
United versus Chelsea isn't the only matchup with interesting storylines attached. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will face his former club Swansea City in the next round after his squad defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-1 thanks to a double from midfielder Nuri Sahin.
This won't be an easy match for the defending champions, who have started the league campaign winless through five matches.
The other fixtures featuring two Premier League teams include Reading versus Arsenal and Norwich City against Tottenham.
The Gunners dominated Coventry City on Wednesday with a 6-1 victory that included new signing Olivier Giroud's first goal with the club. They will be expected to dominate Reading in pursuit of the club's first trophy since 2005.
Spurs will be favored against a Norwich City side that hasn't earned a victory in its first five league matches of the season (two draws, three defeats).
The fourth-round draw for the 2012 Capital One Cup has given football fans plenty of exciting matches to look forward to, with the action set to resume around Halloween.
