Are Arsenal Going To Be In Europe Next Season?

Daniel GoochMar 1, 2009

Arsenal, the champions in 2004, have had their worst season in the Premier League so far.

They lie fifth in the league table below Aston Villa and only two points ahead of their closest rivals Everton.

Saturday's 0-0 draw, at home to fellow Londoners Fulham, did not do anything to help them as Aston Villa are five points ahead of them with a game in hand.

Aston Villa play Stoke on Sunday afternoon, with the hope of winning and moving to just one point behind Chelsea and Liverpool.

Arsenal will have to win their next game away at West Brom on Tuesday to have any chance of regaining their top four spot and a Champions League place.

Arsene Wenger admitted that his team could miss out on the Champions League, saying "I'm concerned." Not a man of many words, but hearing a top manager say that about his team means they must be worried about next season.
