2012 College Football TV Schedule Week 11: TV Listings for the Upcoming Week
Week 10 had four of the top five teams playing at one time, so it made for some extreme channel flipping. This week, it calms down a bit for fans. However, this week, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide has the toughest matchup and could potentially go down.
That’s right, you heard it here first. Alabama has Texas A&M this weekend, and it has to find a way to slow down freshman sensation quarterback Johnny Manziel.
With that being said, welcome back to another week of the ultimate college football television guide. As always, I will be your shining light through the second week of November, Week 11 of the college football season.
Like I said, Alabama has a very tough matchup against Texas A&M at home.
At first glance, there’s no chance that Alabama loses this game.
However, that changes if you take into consideration that this will be Alabama’s third straight game against a ranked opponent, its second game against an opponent that averages 200-plus yards per game and its first game against a player that has the skill set that Manziel does.
This Alabama defense has done a great job this season.
However, it has to be tired after going up against teams that love to run the ball.
For example, Mississippi State is averaging 156.4 yards per game on the ground, while LSU is averaging 200.7 and gashed the Crimson Tide for 139 rushing yards, and Texas A&M has averaged 251.3 yards and is coming into this game after killing Mississippi State on the road, 38-13.
That game saw Manziel throw for 311 yards and run for 129 with two touchdowns.
So for those Alabama fans who haven't purchased their tickets for the Jan. 7 BCS title game, they should just wait until after this week’s game.
Texas A&M may play spoiler this week to Alabama’s perfect season.
A quick California University of Pennsylvania update: My old school was crushed this week at Mercyhurst, 40-7. The loss drops it to 7-3 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC. The loss ended any chance the Vulcans had at playing in the conference championship game.
OK, enough updating on my former college and its crushing loss. Let’s get to the upcoming week of football.
Make sure to check your local listings on Saturday in case your market has changed which games you will be seeing.
