College Football Week 1 Schedule: Latest TV and Live Stream Info
The 2012 season is finally upon us, and the first week of action is filled with great matchups, exciting storylines and a handful of neutral-site games that will be interesting for a variety of reasons.
In the most highly anticipated showdown of the weekend, the Michigan Wolverines will do battle against the Alabama Crimson Tide at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday night. The winner will be one of the early favorites for the national title, while the loser may have their hopes at BCS glory dashed before Labor Day.
Michigan's Denard Robinson is one of the most dynamic players in all of college football, and he'll prove to be a stern test for a Crimson Tide defense that only returns four starters from last season. That said, Alabama is fresh off of a victory in the BCS National Championship game, and recent history suggests that betting against head coach Nick Saban is rarely a wise decision.

Navy and Notre Dame are reviving their Emerald Isle Classic series this year as they face off in Dublin's Aviva Stadium early Saturday morning. This is only the second time that these two teams have played in Ireland: In 1996, Notre Dame defeated Navy 54-27 in front of a crowd of more than 38,000.
The game's 9:00 a.m. Eastern start may be too early for some, so there's plenty of other action going on this weekend at more reasonable times.
