Paris Saint Germain Completes Transfer for Brazilian Star Lucas Moura
While Brazilian Lucas Moura still has some unfinished business to take care of in the Olympics, his future beyond this week is now set in stone.
According to Paris Saint-Germain's official website, the club has landed an agreement for the transfer of the Sao Paulo midfielder.
While fans may be jumping for joy in anticipation, the 19-year-old won’t officially join his teammates until January. The deal is set to run through July 2017, according to the announcement.

In the press release from the team’s website, it's made clear why this move was made (via PSG.fr):
“By signing a young talent of the quality of Lucas Rodriguez Moura Da Silva, Paris Saint-Germain is already preparing the future.”
Moura had previously been linked to Manchester United, but The Daily Mail reports that he wasn’t impressed with the team. Yahoo! Sports reports that it also came down to money, with the Paris club offering more. The official terms of the deal have yet to be announced.
The move is another big splash for Paris St. Germain. The club has now spent roughly a quarter of a billion dollars on players in the last 15 months.
The list of players the club has acquired has been mind-bending. Ezequiel Lavezzi, Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were added this year, while Thiago Motta, Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez and Salvatore Sirigu were added throughout the last 12 months.
This is a legit powerhouse now that can compete with the Barcelonas, Real Madrids and Bayern Munichs of the world.
Ligue 1 is going to be PSG’s to lose next season, and for the foreseeable future after that with the addition of Moura.
