Analysis
The finals score really didn't reflect the free-flowing nature of this match with both sides blowing key chances to break the deadlock.
Spain in particular can feel that they blew some golden opportunities, with Adrian and Christian Tello unlikely to relive their horrendous misses throughout this match.
Morocco offered great resistance in defense and looked dangerous on the counter-attack—especially through Amrabat and Labyad.
Juan Mata was a clear standout for Spain, with goalkeeper David de Gea also looking strong at the back at his home stadium, Old Trafford.
Both sides are eliminated from the 2012 London Olympics and will look back on this one filled with regret and wonder as to what "could have been" had they been more efficient in front of goal.
