Major Transfer News: PSG Get £50 Million Transfer Coup

One of the major events of the summer within the football world is watching various moves unfold in the transfer window.

The Independent declared that Olivier Giroud was drafted in as a replacement for Van Persie,  according to the club's chief scout. This either means the Gunners will look to bolster elsewhere rather than bring in another striker.

But Givemefootball had a poll which clearly dictated the fans want Lewandowski as the replacement for their current captain. 

On skysports, Alex Ferguson unveiled his new recruits in the form of Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell. Both players are young and can play in a variety of positions. Ferguson added: "We could possibly bring one, maybe two, more in."

But the biggest transfer news so far from a European perspective is that AC Milan have accepted a £49 million bid from PSG for Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.

This is a huge transfer coup. The biggest yet in this transfer window. The Hazard capture by Chelsea seems like peanuts compared to this mega deal.

Goal.com have a report about Kaka, who has been urged by the Italian politician Clemente Mastella to join Napoli.
