Top NBA Draft Prospect Anthony Davis Applies to Trademark Brow

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

Anthony Davis is going to make sure he gets paid in every way possible.

The presumptive top pick in the 2012 NBA Draft is apparently opening up his revenue streams to those that may come form his famous brow line.

CNBC's Darren Rovell reports Davis will do his best to trademark his brow as it pertains to some of the more prevalent sayings.

Earlier this month, he successfully trademarked “Fear The Brow” and “Raise The Brow." The reason is quite simple according to Davis, via CNBC, "I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it. Me and my family decided to trademark it because it’s very unique."

Aha.

Davis claims to hear the roar from the masses who want him to cut off the unibrow, but he is not about to shed his most well-known attribute.

He claims he will not shave or pluck the brow anytime soon because, “everyone’s talking about it.”

Call it a special mark, a unique trait or just the most marketable asset Davis has aside from his defensive prowess, the fact is there is a ton of money to be made off a brow that will be going first overall along with the man who wears it.

This is the smart decision for Anthony and his family who deserve any piece of revenue that comes from his highly marketable likeness.

We issued the same thing for Bryce Harper who decided to step up and take what was his in regards to his ubiquitously heard saying, "Clown Question, Bro."

Davis maintains he will not shave his unibrow for anything, not even a high-paying commercial for a razor company.

It seems the highly-coveted prospect has settled on rocking the unibrow for his career, so we might as well get used to it.
