7 Committed Recruits Who Will Continue to Flirt with Other Schools

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

In this age of early commitments, recruits are now making their decisions very, very early in the process. They're committing and ending their recruitment to focus on other things before they head off to college.

However, some recruits are choosing to make a commitment to a school, but their recruitment lives on. Some recruits make their selection, but still want to take other visits and continue talking with other schools.

In this slideshow, I'm going to give you seven recruits who are currently committed, but will continue to flirt with and talk to other schools.

7. Doug Randolph, OLB

1 of 7

Doug Randolph is a 6'3", 215-pound OLB prospect from Virginia. He has committed to Stanford, yet his recruitment is far from over.

Just recently, Randolph told Rivals.com that he is still thinking about Virginia and Notre Dame.

In fact, I expect him to take both unofficial and official visits to see the Cavs and Irish up close before signing day comes.

Stanford fans may have to sweat this one out.

6. Elijah Daniel, DE

Out of nowhere, Elijah Daniel committed to Clemson on a visit to the Tigers last week. He's a 6'3", 252-pound DE prospect from Indiana who has great upside.

However, it's possible that Daniel's Clemson pledge was a result of just being overwhelmed by a great trip. He told Scout.com that it's possible he'll still take some other visits.

5. Caleb Brantley, DT

3 of 7

Caleb Brantley is a 6'3", 302-pound DT with great quickness and strength. He hails from Florida and is on track to become a Gator.

However, Brantley doesn't talk to UF all too often these days, and he's flirting with Florida State and USC a bit. He told Scout.com that Alabama and Auburn are in the fold as well.

Florida still looks good, but this may not be as over as we thought.

4. Altee Tenpenny, RB

4 of 7

Altee Tenpenny is one of the looser and more comedic characters in this class. He's well-liked wherever he goes and has a good sense of humor.

Still, he knows recruiting is no joke and is serious about his commitment to Alabama.

With that said, however, he stated to Scout.com that he will take a few visits to other schools, including in-state Arkansas.

John L. Smith will make a run to keep Tenpenny home and away from the Hogs' SEC West rivals.

3. Daniel McMillian, LB

5 of 7

Daniel McMillian is a 6'2", 220-pound LB with a great-looking frame. He looks to be able to carry another 15-20 pounds easily.

A Florida native, McMillian is the Sunshine State's top linebacker and is headed to Gainesville to be a Gator.

However, he's still going to flirt and possibly take visits to Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State, according to Scout.com.

2. Derrick Griffin, WR

6 of 7

Derrick Griffin is already nearly 6'7" and more than 215 pounds. He plays WR for his Texas high school team, yet he could be a candidate to be moved to TE.

Griffin is committed to Texas A&M, but it's up in the air whether he stays pledged right now.

Recently, Griffin informed Scout.com that he wants to take some trips to Alabama, LSU and Oregon before he signs his LOI to be an Aggie.

Kevin Sumlin is going to have to work to keep Griffin in the fold.

1. Reuben Foster, LB

7 of 7

Right off the bat, I'll say that Georgia remains a big-time threat to Alabama for Reuben Foster. He's committed to the Crimson Tide, but he really could end up in Athens.

Foster also told Scout.com that he plans to make several other trips to various schools, such as USC, Hawaii and South Carolina. He even stated he's still interested in several other schools.

I think he still likely winds up at Alabama, but it wouldn't shock me if he winds up a Bulldog.
