The Charlotte Bobcats' old uniforms obviously weren't working. They are coming off a record-breaking season of win futility.

So, it is not surprising they would go for a new look—some new players would be nice, too, but you might as well update the threads in the process.

Charlotte appears to have taken a cue from some of the more successful franchises in the league to provide inspiration for its unis. Do these colors remind you of a certain team currently in the NBA Finals?

At a glance, these unis could be mistaken for the Oklahoma City Thunder. With a little deeper look, you can see the Dallas Mavericks' influence. Take a look at the font, and then take a look at the Mavericks' unis

Borrowed looks aside, this is a solid, clean new look for a franchise in need of an overhaul.

I prefer the white unis to the dark ones. The crisp white makes the colors really pop, and the striping down the side is unique—not too busy or too plain.

The darker versions are not as eye-catching, but they are a decent effort. Still, these are just a little too much like the Thunder for my taste.

Overall Grade: 7.5/10

These uniforms strike a nice balance between being too loud and too basic. The colors are laid out in a way that adds a nice accent.

However, there is nothing overly memorable about the look, and the similarities to other unis hurts the Bobcats' chance to carve out a real identity.
