Power Ranking the 7 Most Shocking Commitments so Far in 2013 Recruiting
We're in mid-June now, and before we know it, July will be here. This 2013 recruiting cycle is moving along, and we've seen a lot happen so far.
The occurrences we've witnessed are some jaw dropping, shocking commitments. This class has a flair for shock value, and for this read I'm going to rank the seven most shocking commitments up to this point.
So come on inside and let's look at 'em!

7. Kailo Moore to Mississippi State
1 of 7This commitment wasn't shocking in regards to where Moore committed, but when he committed.
On May 26, he told Scout.com that he planned to wait until Signing Day. However on June 12, Moore was committed to Mississippi State.
Winding up as a Bulldog wasn't a surprise at all, but it was shocking because only two weeks prior, Moore stated he was likely to wait until February.
6. Ethan Pocic to LSU
2 of 7Pocic was thought to desire to stay in the midwest, as he is from Illinois. Many schools were on his trail and he had a long list, yet it seemed as if he would stay in Big Ten country.
We were wrong.
A few weeks ago, Pocic took a trip to Baton Rouge, liked what he saw and pulled the trigger. So not only is Pocic not staying in the midwest or Big Ten country, he's headed south to LSU.
5. Darrell Daniels to Washington
3 of 7One could argue this wasn't overly shocking because Washington had been in the hunt for Daniels for a good while.
However, Daniels recently took a trip to USC, and the general feeling was that by the time he left Los Angeles, the Trojans would have him sewed up.
Nope. Daniels left USC still uncommitted, then took a trip to Seattle and committed to Washington this past weekend.
4. Greg Bryant to Oklahoma
4 of 7The Sooners will pluck a player from Florida every now and then, but usually Sunshine State kids wind up at one of the Big Three Florida schools, an SEC school or Clemson.
Tack on the fact that earlier in the month when Bryant, a Florida native, took a trip to Norman, RB Keith Ford had already committed to OU, and you start to see the shock in this one.
Not only did Bryant spurn the Florida schools, SEC and more, but he committed while knowing another talented RB was locked in at Oklahoma.
3. E.J. Levenberry to Florida State
5 of 7Sometimes, a recruit has a leader for so long that after a while, he begins to get bored and starts to find reasons not to commit.
However, in the end, he remembers why his leader is his leader and he commits. I thought that was the case with E.J. Levenberry and Michigan.
Florida State entered the picture, and I thought Levenberry would eventually tell the Seminoles no and commit to Michigan.
Yet, a strong push by FSU led to Levenberry making a shocking pick of the 'Noles over the Wolverines earlier this spring.
2. Ty Isaac to USC
6 of 7For most of Isaac's recruitment, the general feeling was that he and his parents wanted him to stay close to his Joilet, Ill., home.
So Michigan and Notre Dame seemed like obvious choices, yet USC was trying everything it could and convinced him to take a visit out west.
Isaac then chose to take another visit out to L.A. with his mother a short time later. Distance seemed to still be holding USC back even after he returned.
However, a few days later, Isaac announced his commitment to USC in a shocker.
1. Robert Nkemdiche to Clemson
7 of 7Nkemdiche to Alabama seemed like almost a lock, as the Tide had held the inside track for Nkemdiche for more than a year.
Clemson had seen Nkemdiche several times this spring and was thick in the race, but it was against some SEC big boys—powers such as LSU, Florida, Georgia and Ole Miss, where his brother plays.
Nkemdiche was set to announce on May 18, but he backed off that date and it was felt he'd likely wait all the way until Signing Day.
However, in a shocker, not only did Nkemdiche not wait until Signing Day, he spurned Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia and Ole Miss for Clemson late last week.
