College Football Recruiting 2013: 4-Star OL to Make USC, Auburn and Others Wait

Khaliel Rodgers is holding 15 offers from programs across the country and was reportedly set to make his decision in less than two weeks time (per Brian Dohn of Scout.com).

According to Rivals' Mike Farrell, Rodgers is pushing that date back in order to visit more schools:

Auburn has already offered the Eastern Christian Academy (Elkton, Maryland) star, but USC has not.

The Trojans are recruiting the 6'3", 320-pounder though, and the decision to push back his announcement could mean he's holding out for an offer from Lane Kiffin and staff.

When Rodgers had initially decided to announce on June 30th, his final six choices were down to Auburn, Ohio State, West Virginia, UCLA, Mississippi and Connecticut, according to Scout.com.

With Farrell indicating that USC is somehow relevant, we have no choice but to assume Rodgers is intrigued by what they've had to say in recent weeks.

Rodgers is a teammate of 5-star USC commit Kenny Bigelow, and that cannot be ignored either.

Auburn was arguably the front-runner up until a few days ago. Rodgers recently visited the Tigers and had this to say, via Bryan Matthews of 247Sports.com:

"

It was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had at a college...It was just a great experience in Auburn. I’ve seen a great tradition and it’s a great place...I will be sticking with that date (June 30th). A commitment and I’m done.

"

But he obviously hasn't stuck with that date, meaning something has changed his mind.

Rodgers is one of the top interior linemen in the 2013 class and will be a huge get for the program that ultimately lands him.
