Report: Nation's No. 1 Recruit on Clemson Campus, May Sign with Tigers
With each passing day, the recruiting process heats up more and more. Players are decommitting, others are visiting schools, while others are preparing to announce where they will spend the next few years of their lives.
The Clemson Tigers are one of those teams that is hoping to land a big fish, as the 2013 top recruit, Robert Nkemdiche, could possibly confirm his commitment as early as today. He is currently visiting the Clemson campus and has the Twitter world going nuts, as many believe he will become a Tiger.
"Will Robert Nkemdiche commit to Clemson today? He's meeting with Dabo Swinney right now...

The Clemson Tigers are coming off one of their more successful seasons in recent memory, finishing with a 10-4 record and a trip to the BCS Orange Bowl. Dabo Swinney is quickly changing the culture around the program and has already landed seven early recruits for the 2013 class.
Two of those players happen to be teammates of Nkemdiche, including defensive back David Kamara and running back Wayne Gallman. That is a huge advantage for the Tigers heading into this race that also includes schools such as LSU, Alabama, Oregon, Auburn and Texas, among others.
“I know Robert likes Clemson, but I don’t know about that,” said Kamara (via The Atlanta Journal Constitution).
So, how much do his high-school teammates factor into his decision?
“It helps Clemson a lot with me,” Nkemdiche said.
Many top recruiting sites consider Nkemdiche to be the best defensive end in the country. He has terrific size at 6'4", 270 pounds and great athleticism. He gets off the ball in a hurry and is constantly generating pressure in the opposing backfield. He could play the running-back position as well.
He is the type of player that can help contribute right away and instantly become a star, similar to what we saw last season in Jadeveon Clowney.
Clemson has talent on both sides of the ball already, but this school has never landed a player the caliber of Nkemdiche. He is somebody who will shine instantly on the football field and help persuade other top recruits for years to come.
Landing the 5-star recruit isn't official yet, but it's looking a lot better than it did just a few days ago for an up-and-coming team in the ACC.
"Robert Nkemdiche going to Clemson would be surprising but not shocking. Tigers were able to land DE Da'Quan Bowers in 2008.

It really wouldn't be a surprise, as Clemson is a team that is certainly on the rise with oodles of young talent. But it is not too often when we see teams like Alabama, LSU and even the home school, Georgia, lose out on a top recruit. While the Tigers are moving up in the world, we can still consider this a big upset if it actually happens.
"I will be shocked if Robert Nkemdiche commits to Clemson.

Along with the rest of the college football world, but with two of his current teammates already committed and a chance to start right away, Clemson is a school that is an attractive option right about now.
"To clear things up: IF Nkemdiche commits today (and I'm hearing from multiple sources it's VERY possible) it would be to #Clemson

Looks like a select few SEC teams are not the only ones that can steal all of the top talent.
"According to TigerIllustrated.com, the nation's No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche has committed to #Clemson
